TREATMENT & PREVENTION:
The most common skin condition during puberty. It affects approximately 80% of teenagers and more women than men, primarily in industrialized nations.
It is characterized by inflammatory lesions—”pustules”—and non-inflammatory changes—comedones (blackheads) and milia (whiteheads).
The primary affected areas are the face, chest, and back.
Acne has various forms: papular, cystic, and nodulocystic.
Improper home care and lifestyle choices can significantly complicate the condition. This leads to physical and emotional discomfort.
01
A chronic, non-contagious skin condition that has become increasingly common. It primarily affects the face, nose, and chin, and occasionally the eyes. Women are more frequently affected by this condition than men.
Several key factors contribute to rosacea: genetic predisposition, environmental influences, and diet. Other factors include hormonal imbalance, internal health conditions, medication use, and improper skincare.
It is characterized by various types of eruptions: symmetrical redness on the forehead and cheeks, pustules, and fine dilated capillaries.
There are four main stages of the condition. Early diagnosis by a specialist is essential to prevent complications.
02
A chronic, non-contagious skin condition with periods of exacerbation and remission.
The characteristic rashes consist of raised red plaques covered with dry, silvery-white scales. The size of the rashes varies from a few millimeters to several centimeters. There are no subjective reports of itching. It primarily affects exposed parts of the body—arms (elbows), legs (knees), the torso, and the scalp.
The causes are still not fully understood; it is a multifactorial disease.
A significant role is played by so-called triggering factors—stress, heredity, and lifestyle.
03
Eczema is a common skin condition that causes itching, redness, dryness, and irritation. The condition is also known as atopic dermatitis. It typically begins in infancy or early childhood and can persist into adulthood; later stages are not excluded. There are several different types of eczema, which are determined by the nature of the rash and its location.
04
Pigmentation spots are areas of the skin that are darker or lighter in color compared to the surrounding skin. They are most commonly caused by the accumulation or loss of melanin—the pigment that determines skin color. Their appearance can be linked to sun exposure, hormonal changes, inflammatory processes, or aging. There are various types of pigmentation spots, including solar lentigines (sun spots), melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and others. They can appear on both the face and the body. Although they are benign, they are often an aesthetic concern.
The diagnosis and treatment of pigmentation spots require an individual approach, including a dermatological examination and recommendations for appropriate therapies, such as cosmetic treatments, laser therapy, chemical peels, and more.
